Honey-Pecan Cookies

Ingredients

 • 1 1/2 cups pecan flour (or almond flour)
 • 5 tbsp honey
 • 1 tbsp Mavella Superfoods Gut Boost
 • 12 pecan halves
 

Method:
 1. Preheat the oven to 180c and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
 2. If you're making your own pecan flour, simply add the pecans to a food processor and blend to a fine ground flour.
 3. Add the honey, pecan flour and Mavella Superfoods Gut Boost to a large bowl and stir with a spatula. 
4. Finish kneading with your hands. You can add a tbsp water if the dough feels too dry. Roll into balls.
 5. Press the balls into the prepared baking sheet and flatten. Add a pecan half in the middle of each cookie.
 6. Bake for 12 minutes until just golden on the sides and the pecan has roasted.
 7. Let cool for 5 minutes at room temperature, then transfer to a cooling rack.
