Ingredients
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 cups warm water
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp Mavella Superfoods Australian Grown - Beetroot
- Poppy, chia, sesame seeds, sea salt (or your favourite toppings!)
Method:
- Add the yeast, sugar and warm water to a large bowl, mix well and let sit for 5
minutes. - Add the flour, salt and Mavella Superfoods Australian Grown Beetroot and knead until combined (either on a stand mixer or with your hands).
- Finish kneading on a floured surface and oil the bowl. Place the dough back in the bowl and cover. Let rest for 1h.
- Divide into pieces and shape round. Poke the center to form the bagel and place on a greased baking pan. Make an indentation with a chopstick and press into a heart shape.
- Preheat the oven to 180c. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Gently lower the bagels one by one into the pot for 1 minute, then place back on the baking pan.
- Press the toppings on the bagels and bake for about 20 minutes or until
golden
