Heart-Beet Bagels

Ingredients


 Method:

  1. Add the yeast, sugar and warm water to a large bowl, mix well and let sit for 5 
    minutes.
  2.  Add the flour, salt and Mavella Superfoods Australian Grown Beetroot and knead until combined (either on a stand mixer or with your hands).
  3. Finish kneading on a floured surface and oil the bowl. Place the dough back in the bowl and cover. Let rest for 1h.
  4. Divide into pieces and shape round. Poke the center to form the bagel and place on a greased baking pan. Make an indentation with a chopstick and press into a heart shape.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180c. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Gently lower the bagels one by one into the pot for 1 minute, then place back on the baking pan.
  6. Press the toppings on the bagels and bake for about 20 minutes or until 
    golden
