Fluffy Japanese Pancakes


  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp b. Powder
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp organic sugar (or sweetener of choice)
  • Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp Mavella Superfoods Gut Boost


  1. Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls.
  2. Into the egg yolks, add the milk and Mavella Superfoods Gut Boost. Whisk well
  3. Fold in the flour and baking powder. Mix well and set aside.
  4. Add the vinegar to the egg whites and beat with a hand mixer until frothy. Gradually add the organic sugar or sweetener of choice. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Add the egg whites meringue gradually to the egg yolk mixture, folding it in slowly so it doesn’t deflate.
  6. Heat a large nonstick skillet over low heat and lightly grease with coconut oil.
  7. Scoop the batter onto the skillet, keeping it tall. Cover with a lid and cook for about 7 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side.
  8. You can top with fruits, whipped cream, honey, maple, or your favorite toppings!
